Translating Software Code into Live Product Specifications
Gdańsk startup Specsight automatically translates software code changes into live product specs and release notes for entire teams.

As software development accelerates with modern artificial intelligence tools, engineering teams are shipping updates faster than the rest of the organisation can possibly track. Sales representatives frequently walk into client demonstrations unaware of newly released features, while customer support agents often hear about recent bug fixes directly from frustrated users. For several years, Gdańsk-based AI engineer Ola Piętka found herself stepping into the role of an informal translation layer across early-stage startups in Europe and the United States. Whenever colleagues from marketing or account management needed to understand how a product actually worked or what had changed in the latest deployment, they had to rely on her to decipher the underlying source code.
Recognising that human translation does not scale as teams grow, Ola Piętka founded Specsight in March 2026 to solve this communication gap. The platform directly addresses a universal operational headache by reading a company codebase and turning technical updates into plain, accessible language for everyone. Instead of expecting busy developers to manually write release documentation or update external knowledge bases, the software automatically maintains a live product specification with every single release. This continuous synchronisation keeps non-technical departments fully informed without requiring endless status meetings or constant messaging threads across internal channels.
The underlying system converts complex code repositories into simple visual tools that any team member can navigate effortlessly. Specsight automatically creates a visual product map that outlines user journeys from start to finish, demonstrating exactly how different software components connect on a single screen. Every time a build ships, the platform automatically logs additions, tracks modified limits, and highlights deprecated features while generating ready-to-use release note drafts. Team members can also ask direct questions about product functionality through connected conversational interfaces, receiving accurate responses drawn directly from the live codebase within seconds.
This automated transparency transforms how different internal departments handle daily operations and strategy. Sales reps can quickly check current functionality before pitching prospective clients, while marketing specialists can immediately turn new feature releases into compelling customer updates. Customer support staff gain instant visibility into recently resolved tickets and functional adjustments, enabling them to assist users without escalating basic questions back to engineering teams. By eliminating the manual burden of weekly update writing, product managers avoid spending half their working hours explaining recent software changes to the rest of the business.
Following its initial development, Specsight went live in April 2026 with a flat pricing model designed to encourage company-wide adoption rather than charging per user seat. The platform offers structured tiers that allow organisations to invite their entire workforce to monitor product evolution in real time. Early adoption has demonstrated that providing direct, automated access to code truth reduces internal misalignment and speeds up decision-making across growing technology ventures.
Looking ahead, the Gdańsk-based startup is preparing to scale its operations and commence its initial hiring phase for additional talent. The company is currently raising a pre-seed investment round to accelerate product development and support growing customer demand. As part of its international expansion, Specsight will showcase its product observability technology at Slush 2026 in Helsinki. For founder Ola Piętka, the overarching mission remains focused on ensuring every software release speaks clearly for itself across the entire enterprise.
