In small and medium enterprises, critical business information often sits trapped inside crowded inboxes, disconnected drives, and individual minds. When a key team member takes a holiday or leaves the firm, valuable institutional knowledge routinely disappears with them. Brothers Christian Kirsch and Stefan Kirsch observed this precise challenge facing the German Mittelstand in 2022. They realised that traditional file structures were failing busy teams who spent hours searching for context across fragmented systems. The founding pair validated their concept twice in Silicon Valley before establishing amaiko GmbH in Viechtach, deep in the Bavarian Forest.

Officially launched in July 2025, amaiko brings together deep commercial and technical expertise to solve corporate memory loss. Christian Kirsch serves as chief executive officer after previously founding PASSION4IT, a business he scaled to four point five million euros in revenue. His brother Stefan Kirsch takes the role of chief technology officer, bringing over fifteen years of engineering leadership and a background in physics from the University of Regensburg. Together with a team of five employees, the brothers set out to build an intelligent assistant rather than another complex software tool. Today, the company serves over two hundred daily users across various industries.

The platform operates as a proactive knowledge assistant that integrates natively into existing daily workflows. Instead of creating a new destination app, amaiko connects directly with Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Box, Teams, and Slack. It scans existing drives, chats, and emails while strictly respecting individual permission levels so users only see information they are authorised to access. The system keeps shared team knowledge separate from personal project contexts, ensuring private drafts remain confidential until intentionally shared. By bringing together scattered data from sources like Outlook, HubSpot, and Jira, the platform presents structured briefings each morning.

Beyond storing information, the system actively converts institutional memory into finished workplace outputs. Rather than merely offering suggested text snippets, amaiko generates complete Word documents, Excel sheets, and PowerPoint presentations formatted to corporate design guidelines. The software assists throughout the working day by sorting incoming emails, writing meeting minutes, and assigning follow-up tasks with automated reminders. Users can even complete daily wrap-ups through voice commands on Apple Watch or CarPlay while commuting. Because data privacy is paramount for European enterprises, the infrastructure is certified by the BSFZ and hosted entirely in Germany under full compliance with strict data protection rules.

Looking ahead, amaiko aims to expand its reach significantly across small and medium businesses across Europe. The founders view agentic artificial intelligence as the natural evolution for knowledge management, turning static archives into active operational teammates. As part of their global growth strategy, amaiko GmbH will present its platform at Web Summit 2026. By helping knowledge workers focus on high-value tasks while keeping company history fully accessible, the Viechtach enterprise is redefining how modern businesses preserve and use their collective intelligence.
