DSALTA uses AI to compress startup compliance from months to days
San Francisco startup DSALTA automates compliance frameworks like SOC 2 and ISO 27001, letting early-stage teams become audit-ready in just a single day.

For early-stage software startups, winning enterprise deals often depends on obtaining complex security certifications such as SOC 2 or ISO 27001. Historically, achieving these credentials required months of tedious manual labour, five-figure consultancy invoices, and dedicated compliance staff that small software teams simply could not afford. Co-founder Dogan Akbulut saw this burden firsthand when a previous venture suffered severe setbacks largely due to rigid, manual audit processes. That painful experience motivated him to partner with Jon Ozdoruk in 2024 to found DSALTA in San Francisco. Together, they set out to remove the administrative obstacles that prevent promising software companies from scaling efficiently.
DSALTA built an AI-powered compliance automation platform designed to accelerate how companies handle regulatory frameworks. Instead of wrestling with static spreadsheets and external audits, organisations use autonomous AI agents to collect technical evidence and continuously monitor security controls. The platform covers more than 100 global security and privacy frameworks, including SOC 2, ISO 27001, and HIPAA, alongside comprehensive vendor risk management. Guided digital workflows direct founders step by step through necessary security steps, allowing software teams to transform an audit readiness process that once took months into a streamlined workflow completed in a single day.
Central to the platform is its ability to reuse compliance data seamlessly across multiple frameworks as a business grows. When a startup completes security controls for one standard, DSALTA automatically applies those elements to other requirements, preventing duplicate effort and reducing administrative fatigue. The system balances full automation with clear internal visibility, ensuring technical founders retain control over their security posture. Dedicated advisory guidance complements the automated tools, giving growing teams the exact expertise required to navigate complex requirements while staying continuously audit-ready.
The team's practical approach quickly attracted backing from prominent cybersecurity leaders. Early support included pre-seed funding from Ismail Sebe, a Google cybersecurity engineering director who also joined as an advisor to help guide technical strategy. DSALTA later raised a seed funding round that valued the San Francisco startup at 18 million dollars, with participation from investors including Is Bankasi Group's Artificial Intelligence Fund. This capital injection has fueled further refinement of the core AI platform, validating the co-founders' conviction that early-stage startups deserve enterprise-grade compliance tools built specifically for rapid execution.
Looking forward, DSALTA is expanding its automated compliance architecture to support expanding global regulations and broader technical environments. As part of its international engagement plan, the startup will participate in Web Summit 2026 to showcase its platform to global software founders and enterprise buyers. Co-founders Jon Ozdoruk and Dogan Akbulut remain focused on making continuous audit readiness standard practice for modern tech businesses. By replacing manual paperwork with intelligent automation, DSALTA aims to ensure no software startup is held back by the cost or complexity of security compliance.
