How Paris startup GetVocal brings human oversight to support AI
GetVocal builds transparent conversational AI for enterprise customer support, pairing automation with real-time human oversight.

When AI entrepreneurs Roy Moussa and Antonin Bertin founded GetVocal in Paris in 2023, they set out to tackle one of the biggest barriers to customer service automation. Many enterprise organisations were eager to adopt conversational AI to manage support volume, but black-box autonomous systems created significant risks around compliance and trust. Businesses in regulated sectors could not afford unmonitored tools handling sensitive interactions. Moussa and Bertin realised that enterprise adoption required a completely transparent solution. GetVocal was established to deliver conversational AI for customer support at scale, ensuring real-time human oversight and compliance were built directly into the core platform architecture.
The core challenge facing contact centres was balancing speed with total operational control. GetVocal designed its conversational AI platform specifically for mid-market and B2B organisations operating in sectors such as SaaS, finance, insurance and telecommunications. The system combines automated conversational agents with real-time human-in-the-loop governance, allowing teams to handle routine interactions while smoothly escalating complex issues. By maintaining auditability and deterministic control, the platform helps companies reduce support escalations and improve lead qualification. Enterprise contact centres are able to resolve customer issues much faster while keeping strict control over every message sent.
This focused approach to governed automation allowed GetVocal to scale rapidly from its original Paris base across the broader European market. Headquartered in France, the company now operates with a 60-strong team spread across Europe, serving customers in 23 distinct markets. GetVocal established a powerful stronghold in France and Portugal while driving rapid expansion across the UK and DACH regions. Today, the platform supports 40,000 active users and generates approximately 3.6 million dollars in annual revenue. This steady adoption demonstrates a growing enterprise demand for trustworthy, controllable AI agents in daily customer operations.
The transition from initial prototype to scaling enterprise partner unfolded in under two years. To fund this rapid growth trajectory, GetVocal secured 30 million dollars in total funding, culminating in a 26 million dollar Series A round led by venture firm Creandum. This fresh capital enabled co-founders Roy Moussa, serving as Chief Executive Officer, and Antonin Bertin, serving as Chief Technology Officer, to strengthen their leadership team. Key additions included Khue Le as Head of Research and Development alongside Ana Banta as Vice President of Marketing, helping drive further product innovation and international reach.
As GetVocal prepares for its next phase of growth, the company continues to widen its footprint across European enterprise customer support operations. The team will be exhibiting at Web Summit 2026 in Lisbon from 9 to 12 November, showcasing how human oversight integrates with automated support agents. To support their ongoing expansion, the team is actively seeking new enterprise clients, strategic industry partners and key hires to join their distributed European workforce. By proving that automation and human judgment can operate in harmony, GetVocal is setting a practical benchmark for enterprise contact centre technology.
